Jetgrout Quality Control

Jet-grout application, the basic application principle, is to inject the cement into the ground with high pressure and to pull it upwards from the base by means of a drill, to obtain soil compaction and concrete arm production. Since the obtained concrete column absorbs the material in its environment, the density change of the column from the surface to the bottom is not the same.

In geotechnical calculations and projecting, calculations are made considering that the jet-grout will be of a certain diameter and a certain length. Therefore, it is very important whether Jet-grout columns are formed or not.

In geotechnical calculations and projecting, calculations are made considering that the jet-grout will be of a certain diameter and a certain length. Therefore, it is very important whether Jet-grout columns are formed or not.

    We use the following methods for quality control of jet-grout columns.;
            - Georadar - GPR
            - PIT
            - Seismik Methods
            - Loading Test
            - Core Tests

In particular, by creating a 3D cross-section model of the area where jet grouting is applied with the Georadar method, column geometry, depth, and problematic levels can be displayed.
With seismic methods, strength values can be obtained with the Dynamic Elastic parameters of the Soil (Vp, Vs, Elasticity, Bulk, Compression, etc.).
