Side Scan Sonar Survey (SSS)
Determination of seabed morphology is one of our geophysical research methods that we apply effectively in shipwreck surveys, determination of cables and pipelines.
High resolution images of the seafloor are obtained with Side Scan Sonar measurements. Therefore, it is a method that should be preferred as a quality control method, especially after the completion of the dredging activities in the ports, in determining whether there are pits and bumps in the port and whether the dredging activity is carried out as desired.
We obtain detailed sediment distribution maps by classifying and describing the sediments on the seabed (rocky, sandy, muddy areas, etc.). These detailed maps allow more real results to be obtained in coastal interaction and sediment transport modeling studies.
